The Studio

Our studio is a purpose built and professionally fitted out recording studio with award winning engineers. This is not a computer with some software but a hardware based digital recording studio. The control room is acoustically treated and has ample room for both engineer and musicians. We have provided a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with lounges and easy access to facilities. There are two isolated sound booths, one large enough for drums and a vocal booth. There is also a performance area at the front of the control room.

 The Theatre Royal

A unique recording opportunity exists with our ‘record at The Theatre Royal and mix at InstrAmental’ deal. We have set up an identical recording system at The Theatre Royal just around the corner. This allows you to get the sound of Australia's oldest mainland (150 years continuous operation) theatre on your next recording. There are 4 sends of headphone mixes as well as 4 sends of foldback if you like. Want a BIGGER sound? Why not play in a Bigger room. Still want BIGGER? Turn on the Meyer PA system as well.

 Ideal for Live recordings in front of an audience. CD and DVD capability.

 Castlemaine

Renowned for the arts, Castlemaine is a relaxed place with a sophisticated feel in a stately 19th century setting. Set in a heritage overlay InstrAmental is only 2 mins walk from the station or we have ample parking right out the front and laneway access for equipment. An abundance of good food and accommodation is available at our doorstep including self contained accommodation ideal for a whole band at extremely reasonable rates. This, the Studio and the Theatre can make your recording an overall rewarding experience.
